* Mecynorhina 2.0
Mecynorhina 2.0 - with a body length of over 80 mm, are exceptionally large beetles and are rarely equaled in beetle breeding.
Starting material:
- Best quality beetles or larvae
- (gene diversity, beetle size, larvae weight, appearance, vitality)
Accommodation of the larvae:
- Individual maintenance L1-L2 (50 ml - 200 ml can)
- Together in the 3rd larval stage (1-5 liters per larva)
- Individual housing at the end of L3 (larvae weight is then approx. 50g)
Larvae food:
- Humus (fermented leaves, beech & oak) medium moisture
- Gammarus as a protein supplement, from the 1st to 3. larval stage
- Optional apple pieces sweet varieties, from the end of L3 (L3 weight approx. 50g)
Larvae control and substrate change:
- L1-L2 depending on larvae and container size, after 5 - 7 days
- L2-L3 depending on larvae and container size, after 1 - 7 days
Room temperature: 18-21°C (min. 15°C / max. 25°C)
After 12-15 months as a larva and 2-3 months in the cocoon, the beetle hatches. Beetle size: males 50-85 mm, females 45-65 mm
